Mutiny ready to invade Silicon Valley as AMC renews Halt and Catch Fire for a third season.

When NBC cancelled Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal even before the show could complete its third season, we were once again reminded of the cruel fact that, one way or another, quantity weighs more than quality. Remember Pushing Daises (Bryan Fuller and Lee Pace) and Rubicon? (Jason Horwitch). However, AMC has, after 10 years of Mad Men, found a way around this dogma and that is one reason why we will be witnessing Lee Pace, McKenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy invade Silicon Valley in the period drama Halt and Catch Fire . Set in Silicon Prairie of Texas the drama television series explores the revolution of personal computers in America. How Halt transformed from just another Mad Men rip off, centered around Don Draper-ish Joe McMillan, to a critics’ darling in its sophomore year was an evidence enough to figure out that AMC had bigger plans for the show. Therefore, keeping in line with the bigger picture plans AMC has ordered a 10-episode season set to premier in summer 2016. Christ...

Microsoft is the new Apple

So today was Microsoft's Surface 4 and Lumia event, to be honest we weren't expecting much but woah! Was we were blown away or were we blown away, Surface pro 4, Surface Book, new Lumia 950 and 950XL, virtual reality gaming with hollo lens and plenty of other stuff, but these things in short made me regret buying a laptop and phone both recently. When the event started today Microsoft finally appeared to be a whole new company, a company that once led innovation and seems to be back in form to do again but this didn’t just happen today with Microsoft’s event but has been undergoing for a long time as Satya Nadella’s master plan to restore Microsoft’s supremacy with introduction of windows 10, new office 2016, Microsoft’s embracement of rival platforms and concentration on quality and innovation to the core. Microsoft has a whole new language in short and I’ve already been stunned and can’t wait to see what more Microsoft will come up with as of now here’s why we are drooling ...

Now when you look at the handset it does give you a similar feel yet it isn’t all too alike the nexus 5 which is a good thing, the 5X wasn’t the only the only thing Google announced. The nexus 6P was also announced as follow up to the nexus 6 Phablet you can check our article about the nexus 6P here . Is Samsung living under it's own shadow?

Image source Is Samsung finding it hard to be Samsung, are they out of ideas for new features (Albeit most of them useless like eye ball scrolling while reading). SAMMY sure attracted a lot of customers and became the highest selling phone vendor using these tricks and heavy marketing while offering a slew of features that sure seemed attractive but no one actually used in everyday life or maybe people actually did but i sure didn't. Recently Samsung has been faced with declining sales and are considering reducing prices for their flagship Galaxy S6 handsets. What I mean to say is come on if you own a note 4 why buy the S6 at all except for the shape and the premium glass design even the s5 is a great phone on its own fast smooth and supports almost the latest OS so is Samsung finding it hard to innovate?   When Steve jobs got on the stage in 2007 to present the iPhone it was something that no one had ever seen before, it had great features like the app store, fast forw...

Here is every single time right met wrong at the VMAs.

Sony announces the Xperia Z5, Z5 compact and Z5 premium

Today Sony officially showcased the Xperia Z5 series of its flagship phones, while Sony hasn't been having a lot success in the smartphone market. Recently it hasn't been as much successful as it once used to be in mobile phone sales, its sales have fallen in the international market which is primarily due to the highly saturated market for premium smartphones as even Samsung and Apple are having a hard time now. Sony today presented the world with what it believes a smartphone of 2015 and 2016 should be like and that is the Xperia Z5 which comes in three different variations the largest being the Xperia Z5 premium followed by the regular Xperia Z5 and lastly the smallest Xperia Z5 compact. Image Source The Xperia Z5 packs a Snapdragon 810 quad core 64 bit processor with 3 Gb of ram, 23 Mp camera, a 5.2 inch full HD 1080p screen, 2900 mah battery and a finger print scanner while the Z5 premium has all the same specs except it comes with a 5.5 inch 4k ultra HD scre...

New Microsoft Windows phones...

If you're anything like one of our authors aka Zain than you're probably skipping the current Nokia lumia handsets so you can buy a Microsoft branded handset (lol jk he's broke as f##k!) well in that case you're in luck. Renders of two different Microsoft smartphones have been leaked by the famous @Evleaks known as cityman and talkman, with cityman being the larger of the two in cyan colour and talkman being the smaller black one but there will definitely be more options available in terms of colors for both of the handsets as they are lumias after all. Source Evleaks Both handsets are rumored to have 3GB Ram, 32GB storage, Qhd screens (5.7 being the screen size for cityman and 5.2 for talkman) both might support 5MP front camera yet we don't know about the back cameras. Cityman will also support Microsoft continuum and both will have a USB type c port. Now with that said keep in mind all this can change as these are merely leaks and rumors but conside...

Want a tablet with a massive battery? Try the G Pad 2 10.1 maybe?

Image Source LG is offering a 10.1" tablet with a massive 7400 mAh battery yes you heard that right it's an enormous battery even more than what some power banks offer now combine that with a 1080p screen instead of a 2k one and this thing could last you 2 or 3 days on heavy to normal use with a single charge. The full specs of the G-Pad 2 are a Quad Core 2.6 snapdragon processor, 2 Gb Ram, 16 Gb in built storage, Micro Sd expansion, a 1080p full HD screen and of course that whooping 7400 MAh battery, a 5 mp camera on the rear and a 2 mp front selfish snapper. Now we all know tablet sales are in a decline as your smartphones can do almost anything that your tablet can and people prefer convertibles even more now specially the likes of Surface pro which can offer full desktop productive environment but this long lasting battery of the G-Pad 2 might just make it worth while.

With a great first episode Coke Studio has finally bridged the gap created by season 6.

There is no doubt that music has always been a silver lining for our culture, art and film industry. Whether it was the Golden Age of 60s, collapse under Zia’s regime of forced Islamization or introduction of ‘Gandasa’ Culture by Maula Jutt, one thing kept evolving and it was our music industry. Ahmed Rushdi, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Nazia Hassan, Junoon, Ali Zafar, Strings and the list goes on. However in 2008 the music industry was finally rewarded with the platform of Coke Studio, Pakistan’s first of its kind music television series. Initially produced by Rohail Hyatt, the founder of Vital Signs, the show climbed to great heights with songs like Alif Allah by Arif Lohar and Messha Shafi and Garaj Barras by Ali Azmat and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The critical response was so overwhelming that it evolved into an international franchise introducing an Indian and Arab versions of the same format, though never of the same appeal.  After five successful seasons Coke Studio Pakist...
